About Us - Late for the Train Coffee Roastery

Our roastery was originally located in our Fort Valley location but quickly grew to the point where it had to be moved.  At one point we had over one hundred sacks of raw coffee stacked around the cafe.  In the same 1,500 square feet we also operated a booming bakery and office.  After some time in a temporary warehouse the roastery was ultimately moved into its current location in 2004.

The roastery houses our inventory of raw coffee beans, dry-goods, canning materials and various equipment.  We have a test kitchen, a tea room, offices and such there. It never ceases to amaze us what all is involved in operating a few cafes and a mailorder business.  It's uncanny! Ha.
